Bāla Kāṇḍa·Chaupāī·12.6·97 of 104
jehiṁ māruta giri meru uṛāhīṁ, kahahu tūla kehi lekhe māhīṁ |
samujhata amita rāma prabhutāī, karata kathā mana ati kadarāī ||
English Rendering
Where the winds that blow away Mount Meru itself, tell me — in what account does a wisp of cotton stand? Considering the immeasurable sovereignty of Rāma, my mind trembles greatly at the task of telling.
Context — Editorial
The image is precise. If the wind can blow away Meru, cotton is not simply lighter — it is not in the same category. The scale of Rāma is not the scale of a large poem or a small poet; it is another scale altogether.
