गुर पितु मातु महेस भवानी। प्रनवउँ दीनबंधु दिन दानी॥
सेवक स्वामि सखा सिय पी के। हित निरुपधि सब बिधि तुलसीके॥
gura pitu mātu mahesa bhavānī, pranavaũ dīnabaṁdhu dina dānī |
sevaka svāmi sakhā siya pī ke, hita nirupadhi saba bidhi tulasī ke ||
English Rendering
To Guru, Father, Mother, Maheśa and Bhavānī, I bow — friend of the wretched, giver of the daily gift. As servant, master, and companion of Sītā’s beloved — Tulsī’s true well-wisher in every possible way.

गुरु, पिता, माता, महेश (शिव) और भवानी (पार्वती) को मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ — दीनों के बन्धु, प्रतिदिन के दाता। श्रीसीता-पति के सेवक, स्वामी और सखा हैं — तुलसी के निष्कपट और सर्व-विध हितकारी।
Context — Editorial
Śiva and Pārvatī are named guru-pitu-mātu — teacher, father, mother, all at once. And named again as sevaka-svāmi-sakhā of Rāma — servant, master, friend. The layers stack so that no single relation contains the pair.
