cahū catura kahũ nāma adhārā, gyānī prabhuhi biseṣi piārā |
cahũ juga cahũ śruti nā prabhāū, kali biseṣi nahĩ āna upāū ||
English Rendering
For all four kinds of discerning seekers, the Name is the support — and the jñānī is especially dear to the Lord. In all four ages and in all four Vedas, the Name’s power is sung — and in the Kali age especially, there is no other way at all.
Context — Editorial
The verse that gives the Kali-age its one prescription. In Satya, dhyāna was enough; in Tretā, yajña; in Dvāpara, pūjā. In Kali — only one thing works, and that one thing is said to work. The claim is stark.
