कियें कुबेष साधु सनमानू। जिमि जग जामवंत हनुमानू॥
हानि कुसंग सुसंगति लाहू। लोकहु बेद बिदित सब काहू॥
kiyẽ kubeṣa sādhu sanamānū, jimi jaga jāmavaṁta hanumānū |
hāni kusaṁga susaṁgati lāhū, lokahu beda bidita saba kāhū ||
English Rendering
Even in poor attire, the good are given honour — as the world honoured Jāmavanta and Hanumān. Loss from evil company, gain from holy company: that both the world and the Veda know, and every living soul.

बुरे वेष में भी साधु का सम्मान ही होता है — जैसे जगत ने जामवन्त और हनुमान का किया। कुसंग से हानि और सुसंग से लाभ — यह लोक में, वेद में, और सब जनों को विदित है।
Context — Editorial
The mirror-image of the previous stanza. Rāma’s two greatest devotees appeared as animals — a bear and a monkey — and yet the world knew them for what they were. Character is legible through costume, in both directions.
