जेहि सुमिरत सिधि होइ, गन-नायक करि-बर-बदन।
करउ अनुग्रह सोइ, बुद्धि-रासि सुभ-गुन-सदन॥
jehi sumirata sidhi hoi, gana-nāyaka kari-bara-badana |
karau anugraha soi, buddhi-rāsi subha-guna-sadana ||
English Rendering
By whose remembrance every accomplishment is reached — the lord of the gaṇas, whose face is like the elephant’s — may that one grant favour, that mass of intelligence, that house of every auspicious quality.

Context — Editorial
The first of the Awadhi Sorathās. Having finished the seven Sanskrit ślokas, Tulsīdās now begins the vernacular invocation with Gaṇeśa — the deity one addresses first, before every undertaking.
