जदपि कबित रस एकउ नाहीं। राम प्रताप प्रकट एहि माहीं॥
सोइ भरोस मोरें मन आवा। केहिं न सुसंग बडप्पनु पावा॥
jadapi kabita rasa ekau nāhīṁ, rāma pratāpa prakaṭa ehi māhīṁ |
soi bharosa moreṁ mana āvā, kehiṁ na susaṁga baḍappanu pāvā ||
English Rendering
Although this poem does not contain even a single poetic flavour, the glory of Rāma stands revealed within it. That is the confidence that comes into my mind — for who has not been raised in stature by good company?

यद्यपि इस रचना में एक भी काव्य-रस नहीं है, तथापि इसमें श्रीराम का प्रताप प्रकट होता है। यही भरोसा मेरे मन में आ बसा है — भला किसने सुसंग पाकर बड़प्पन नहीं पाया?
