एहि प्रकार बल मनहि देखाई। करिहउँ रघुपति कथा सुहाई॥
ब्यास आदि कबि पुंगव नाना। जिन्ह सादर हरि सुजस बखाना॥
ehi prakāra bala manahi dekhāī, karihaũ raghupati kathā suhāī |
byāsa ādi kabi puṁgava nānā, jinha sādara hari sujasa bakhānā ||
English Rendering
In this way, having shown my mind its strength, I shall tell the pleasant story of Raghupati. Vyāsa and the many great poets before him have reverently sung the fair renown of Hari.

इस प्रकार अपने मन को बल दिखाकर, मैं श्रीरघुपति की सुहावनी कथा कहूँगा। व्यास और उनसे पूर्ववर्ती अनेक पुंगव कवियों ने आदरपूर्वक श्रीहरि के सुयश का वर्णन किया है।
