बिधि निषेधमय कलिमल हरनी। करम कथा रबिनंदिनि बरनी॥
हरि हर कथा बिराजति बेनी। सुनत सकल मुद मंगल देनी॥
bidhi niṣedhamaya kalimala haranī, karama kathā rabinaṁdini baranī |
hari hara kathā birājati benī, sunata sakala muda maṁgala denī ||
English Rendering
The story of duty and prohibition — the story of action itself — is that Prayāga’s Yamunā, daughter of the sun, remover of Kali’s stains. And the twin stories of Hari and Hara together shine as its Triveṇī, which, merely heard, grants every joy and every auspiciousness.

विधि-निषेध रूपी, कलियुग के मलों को हरने वाली कर्म की कथा उस प्रयाग की सूर्य-पुत्री यमुना है। हरि (विष्णु) और हर (शिव) की कथा उसकी त्रिवेणी बनकर सुशोभित होती है — जिसे सुनते ही समस्त आनन्द और मंगल मिलते हैं।

The metaphor deepens. Ganga = devotion, Sarasvati = reflection, Yamuna = the ethical story of what to do and not to do. And where all three meet: the story of Viṣṇu-and-Śiva together — the very confluence Tulsīdās will spend the rest of the Manas telling.
