Bāla Kāṇḍa·Chaupāī·22.1·157 of 166
nāma jīhã japi jāgahĩ jogī, birati biraṁci prapaṁca biyogī |
brahmasukhahi anubhavahĩ anūpā, akatha anāmaya nāma na rūpā ||
English Rendering
By chanting the Name on the tongue, yogis awaken — detached, separated from the whole creation of Brahmā. They experience the incomparable bliss of Brahman — inexpressible, free of affliction, beyond name and form.
Context — Editorial
The first of four kinds of seekers to be named. The yogī wants Brahman — the state beyond name and form. Even for him, the ladder up is the Name.
