दुख सुख पाप पुन्य दिन राती। साधु असाधु सुजाति कुजाती॥ दानव देव ऊँच अरु नीचू। अमिय सजीवन माहुर मीचू॥

Pain and pleasure; sin and merit; day and night. Saint and non-saint; noble birth and base. Demon and god; the high and the low. Nectar of life-restoration — and poison of death.

Context — Editorial

One of the most rhythmic lines in the Manas. Ten pairs of opposites in eight half-lines. Tulsīdās names the very frame of the world as a series of dualities — not to lament them, but to place them all inside the Creator’s single canvas.
