Bāla Kāṇḍa·Chaupāī·6.5
saraga naraka anurāga birāgā, nigama agama guna doṣa bibhāgā ||
English Rendering

Heaven and hell; attachment and dispassion. Between the two, the Vedas and the āgamas have drawn the line of quality and flaw.

Context — Editorial

The half-stanza that closes Chaupāī 6. Two final pairs — the metaphysical destinations (heaven, hell) and the two inner postures (attachment, non-attachment) — with a reminder that the scriptures did not invent the split; they only marked it.
