Bāla Kāṇḍa·Dohā 2·D.2
सुनि समुझहिं जन मुदित मन, मज्जहिं अति अनुराग।
लहहिं चारि फल अछत तनु, साधु समाज प्रयाग॥
suni samujhahiṁ jana mudita mana, majjahiṁ ati anurāga |
lahahiṁ cāri phala achata tanu, sādhu samāja prayāga ||
English Rendering
Those who hear and understand with a joyful mind, and who bathe with the fullest love — they receive the four fruits of life while still in this very body, in that Prayāga which is the company of saints.
हिन्दी अनुवाद
जो प्रसन्न मन से सुनकर समझते हैं और अत्यन्त प्रेम से उसमें स्नान करते हैं — वे इसी शरीर में रहते हुए ही, चारों फल (धर्म, अर्थ, काम, मोक्ष) साधु-समाज-रूपी प्रयाग में प्राप्त कर लेते हैं।
Context — Editorial
The dohā that seals the Prayāga metaphor. The four fruits — the four traditional aims of life — are said to arrive not in some future birth, but achata-tanu, in this un-decayed body, right now, if one really enters the company of the good.
