English Rendering
Gods and titans, humans and serpents, birds; ghosts, ancestors, celestial musicians; kinnaras and night-walking demons — I bow to all. Now, all of you, be gracious.
Context — Editorial
The invocations close by widening even further: not only the visible good and wicked, but every possible category of being — even those normally spoken of with fear. Tulsīdās asks favour of all of them, without exception, before the story begins.
