kunda indu sama deha, umā-ramana karunā-ayana | jāhi dīna para neha, karau kṛpā mardana-mayana ||
English Rendering

Whose body is like the jasmine flower and the moon — husband of Umā, home of compassion, tender to the afflicted, crusher of Kāma — may He grant grace.

Context — Editorial

The fourth Sorathā — the invocation of Śiva. As with Viṣṇu, Tulsīdās does not name him; he describes. The signature detail is the last: the burner of Kāma. It is not by accident that Śiva is invoked with that specific power before a poem so full of love.
