Bāla Kāṇḍa·Sorathā·S.6
baṁdaũ saṁta samāna cita, hita anahita nahiṁ koi | aṁjali gata subha sumana jimi, sama sugaṁdha kara doi ||
English Rendering

I bow to the saints, whose minds are level, who have neither friend nor foe — as the good flower held in cupped hands gives its fragrance equally to both palms.

Context — Editorial

A tender image, and a strict one. The saint is measured by whom he can tell apart. Tulsīdās says: he cannot tell them apart at all. The two palms holding the flower are the friend and the foe — both receive the same fragrance.
